Mobile data charges

I want to start using my mobile to send and receive email, and to access the internet - is there much difference in the tariffs available?

The most expensive mobile data tariff available from the four major UK networks is over 1,000 times more expensive than the best value one that we have identified to date! It definitely pays to do some careful analysis before signing a contract.
