Standing charge
A charge designed to average over and recover from all customers on each tariff the elements of cost which are independent of consumption. Includes the costs associated with metering, billing and customer services.
Supplementary number
Top line of the MPAN or Supply Number. Indicates the profile class and meter and time switch details.
Supply Number
The Supply Number, or S-Number or MPAN, is the unique reference number of each electricity supply point. The Supply Number for gas supplies is also referred to as the Meter Point Reference Number, or MPRN. These supply numbers should not be confused with the Meter Serial number - you can change a meter for one with a different meter serial number, but will retain the same Supply Number.
