We usually work on a contingent fee basis, where if we fail to find you any savings, you do not pay us anything. If you accept our recommendations we share the savings with you. Our fees are only payable once the savings have actually been achieved. We do not ask for any fees in advance.
Typically, within four to twelve weeks of signing a partnership agreement and starting our audit, you can expect us to be working with you and your staff to implement the first savings.
We will ask you to sign a simple, one page agreement, which sets out the basis on which we will work together. It details the various responsibilities of Smith Bellerby and the client for the duration of our relationship.
We are members of the Association of Cost Management Consultants (ACMC) and thus are governed by the ACMC Code of Conduct.
The main benefits are cost and time-savings. Typical direct cost expense reduction might be 5 to 20% on energy; 10 to 50% on communications and 5 to 20% on water. However, we have worked with a number of our clients to develop more streamlined administration processes which have resulted in even greater indirect cost-savings. Since we do ALL the work associated with the audit, analysis, implementation and ongoing monitoring, you release extra TIME to concentrate on managing other key areas of your business.
During our initial audit, we require access to relevant documents such as invoices and contracts. To save you time and to keep any disturbance to a minimum, we usually copy the necessary documents on the client's premises ourselves. Thereafter, as part of our ongoing monitoring service, we may request copies of relevant invoices. Some key personnel may be asked to participate in brief meetings as the project progresses. Otherwise, we do all of the work associated with the audit, analysis, implementation and ongoing monitoring.
We will carry out our audit and analysis and present you with a full health-check report completely free-of-charge. If we fail to find any savings, or you decide not to implement our recommendations, you do not have to pay us anything. You have nothing to lose by trying our services.
